He stood there in the shop, a young boy nearby him. The walls – and coincidentally the ceiling -- were laden with finely crafted weapons as the tall ninja looked at the weapons with an appraising eye. It came with a pang of nostalgia as the youth brought himself over to the counter to speak with the old man behind it. Otherwise, the shop was well cared for. Not a lick of dust or dirt could be found on the highly polished walls or countertops. The tall man with black hair and eyes folded his arms over his chest and stared down at the old man.
“Excuse me,” the black-haired youth called out. “I want to buy a sword.”
“And you,” the old man asked a young boy next to him.
“Same as him,” the brunet boy who looked sick to his stomach answered politely with a bow.
The old man was clothed in a set of casual appearing robes and a strange hat. A large, wooden staff was draped across his back as he asked if they were registered hunters. But for what? The black-haired man was becoming annoyed with all the small talk and wanted nothing more than to get on with what they were there to do, leave and be pestered upon arriving back at the cafe.
“Yes, our names are...”
The old man thrust a sword out in front of the black-haired man who was taken aback by the abrupt motion. The sword itself appeared to be finely crafted as he took hold of the weapon by its scabbard and turned it over in his calloused palms. It appeared to be of superior quality, several feet in length and sang brightly as the ninja pulled it out of the scabbard to inspect the weapon before making a final decision.
“A long sword,” the ninja asked.
“You are used to this type of sword aren't you?” the old man asked as the black-haired youth nodded lightly. “The name of this sword is 'Souhi.'”
